In addition to the comments made, our Green Belt needs to be protected,, how can any den=velopment on green belt out side a settlement boundary even be concidered? The noise report doesnot even cond=sider the current helicopter base for its baseline on the noise sitition - why not? Eclogy has not been done cfully, as full surveys are not done?

I agree it should not be allowed and BAE should honour their agreement.

This site is totally unsuitable for all the reasons stated in the petition. Greenbelt land should remain as such.

This site is totally unsuitable for a helicopter base. The local community will be badly affected by noise and their privacy will be invaded by low flying craft. There is also distraction issues placing it so near to a complicated motorway intersection .

i can not believe that this is the only site available and why are they intending making a green belt into a poluted site only a few 100 yards from residents.

Of all the potential sites in South Glos (including the current base) I find it hard to believe that the only one suitable is Almondsbury. On green-belt; next to a busy motorway junction; right by residential areas? Seems like the most 'unsuitable' site.

This is just a small piece of Green Belt but invaluable as a buffer between the motorway and the lovely village of Almondsbury.

The siting of the heli base is unacceptable in regard to noise, distraction and the fact it is on green belt. There are no exceptional circumstances to justify this going ahead on this site

People moving near an airbase have a choice. Having an airbase built next to my garden with the runway meaning takeoff and landing flies over my grade gives me no choice. Noise will be deeply disturbing physically and psychologically.

Not a suitable location for a helicopter base!! Much too close to residential housing and we loose more of our green belt!

Lulsgate Bottom was a quiet Hamlet in 1940 and allowed the gliding clun to have an alternative landing strip to Weston Super Mare. It is now an International airport and has wiped tens of thousands of pounds off of the value of the surrounding properties. Almondsbury is a quiet village: will they end up the same as Lulsgate Bottom?. Will the council be willing to buy properties that will be affected by the noise at market value. Is the council prepared to pay for triple glazing for people affected by noise? Will there be a reduction in council tax? So many questions that need answers.
The Green Belt must be protected
