The best way to protect many animals is through conservation, and that is done through hunters and fishers. Either through keeping the population in an ideal range, or by fees payed by outdoors men.

I was raised hunting. My dad was raised hunting and fishing. I believe it is our right as Canadian Citizens and British Columbians to hunt and fish. Hunting and fishing are also integral to the preservation of habitat and the conservation of wildlife.

As outdoors men and women we need fight to protect our right to hunt. We will not back down, it is up us to stand together and protect this of life . The money hunters put towards managing wildlife and increasing their numbers is far greater then any anti hunting organizations. Be proud to be a hunter!

I'll be hunting in B.C. this September. I originally booked the hunt as a grizzly/mtn. caribou combo. A few weeks after booking the hunt, B.C. closed grizzly hunting. I'm still going as I like the outfitter and don't want to put them in a bind financially. By closing grizzly hunting you clowns have really "put a hole in the boat" for a lot of outfitters.

I am a big game hunter, have been for years, hunting is my passion and I do travel often to British Columbia for big game hunts. It is part of the country I have enjoyed and many friends made. Conservation is key, I understand you may prefer the native of Canada to keep things going but many who live there as outfitters bank on hunting and fishing adventures for others as their means of income, forced to take away a large portion of their income and a means to provide for their families and most of all, control the amount of predators, their habitat and wildlife. It saddens me to see this happening and I will support those in all areas that are being taken away from a person's right to hunt and fish.

Even though I live in another country I think that if properly managed which it is there is no reason to stop the hunting of grizzly in BC. This form of regulated hunting is a big earner for the country and thousands of dollars will be lost out of the economy.
