Protect a Person's Right to Hunt and Fish

I support conservation and buy my fishing lisence and tags every year , even when my favourite fishing spots are closed down ... but I have just had to cancel our holiday plans due to yet another closer.... I would be okay with this if all Canadians were affected by these closers . Really feeling the racial prejudice against white people ... even though it seems we are not allowed to say or feel anything about it. Our dollars are paying for conservation and I’m happy and proud to do so. Plus I love to fish, love eating fish, like to put a few in the freezer to enjoy over the winter... But never keep more than I will consume . As for hunting , I think moose hunting should be completely closed for cow and calves for all Canadians to help with the populations. I myself gave up hunting for camera hunting, although I am not against responsible hunting. But something needs to be done about our declining moose populations.

For the sake of conservation/wildlife consider science based management instead of public opinion.

Bears are killing our moose population. Deer are on the come back, But closing hunting season would be the biggest mistake ever. There will be a lot of poaching going on and rightfully so. A lot of people depend on wild meat.

I support good management & sustained use of all our resources.

We don’t want over 50% of the people in Bc who don’t hunt and fish to vote that it’s” not right “ to fish or trap, like the grizzly hunt! That Was a fully political move not based on any rights or science or facts. All of bc deserve to hunt fish and trap for their living!

Education to public needs to be done about wildlife, relation between species and negative impact of predators & cost to the society. Latest study in Alaska where they put camera on the neck of grizzly bears has shown that one grizzly bear has killed 44 caribou and moose calves in 25 days. Overall, the bears killed an average of 34.4 moose and caribou calves over 45 days. We need our HERITAGE protected.

Hunting is how we get meat for the winter. Besides the opportunity to see the amazing outdoors.

Please bring back grizzly bear trophy hunting to northern BC!!!

We need it back!! Losing calves and other livestock to these bears.

Imagine now many calves and fawns it will take to feed the ever growing bear population.

I believe in my right to hunt and fish responsibility

Trophy hunting and hunting alike is conservation.

Hunting has supported my family for thirty years...Without it we lose everything. Base decisions on facts please.

Please listen to the science. It overwhelmingly supports hunting as a management tool. I've been to BC on three outfitted hunts. And I would estimate that I have spent more towards wildlife conservation than 99.9% of encounters will ever spend.

Money from hunting and fishing to Canada's economy? Billions! Money from anti hunters? Zip, zero, nada!

Hunting in BC is a valuable part of our family’s heritage and we’re passing the lessons and traditions that come with it along to our children. It’s important we keep hunting and fishing open to law abiding citizens of British Columbia. Thank you.
