Their customer service is horrible and their internet speed is never what we are paying for. Prosper needs to get this under control and change carriers. This is not a draw for people thinking of moving to Prosper.

We've been stuck with Suddenlink since 2003 back when they were named Cebridge.
Since that time I've had to call monthly due to extended outages, if not weekly. Every month since 2003. That's over 180 phone calls to Suddenlink, at least. I'll be generous and say it's only been 200 calls. With an average wait time of 30 minutes (which, again, is generous), that's over 100 hours JUST on hold with the company, not including the time talking to representative, then having to wait again to speak to supervisor because the original level 1 tech doesn't know what's happening and/or won't believe me because I'm female (who also happens to have Cisco networking certifications from college, has worked in IT myself but...I couldn't POSSIBLY know when there's a problem on our node. Again.)
We've got a call back from AT&T tomorrow to setup service with them instead since they FINALLY have fast enough speeds at our address (I've been calling them for the past 10 years trying to get our neighborhood added). This latest rate increase of $15/month for the EXACT same service (400mbps which actually only ever gets as high as 70mbps and averages between 15 and 20 mbps) wasn't even mentioned ahead of time, nor was it pointed out on our bill - we just had a larger amount drafted with no notice. Which basically is tantamount to theft.
I spent another 2 hours on hold on Friday just about the bill to be told there was nothing they could do. Well, there IS something I can do now - switch to AT&T. Goodbye Suddenlink and good riddance.

I didn’t have service the last 100 days and finally cancelled (08/24/18). They gave the the 30day cancellation bull and are still charging me.

Sick of suddenlink. As soon as I have another option that offers higher speeds, I'm gone. Possibly sooner

Worst experience I have ever had with any service provider. It is beyond comprehension what I had to go through getting service even up and running.

We have tried Sudden Link and wind up having to go to one of the dish companies. The old overhead cables Sudden Link is using are junk. Ours actually is fed down through a mountain cedar tree and is constantly being chewed up by fire ants. The Technicians have quit trying to repair the cable and have draped the cable on the outside of the tree.

We had constant outages and lack of service. My wife worked from home and had to switch to AT&T before it cost her job.

Windsong Ranch: Improperly installed fiber cables and boxes resulted in a cut cable. Requested a technician and was told to wait a week. Technician showed up to fix my modem rather than fix the cable and said it's not his job. Ordered another technician, waited another week--same issue-- I can't fix it. Wait another werk--same story. Spend 5+ hrs on hold with customer service over the three weeks, three days off waisted, and they could not guarantee someone would actually fix the outside cable issues. To istall a new account, the wait is two days...to fix an issue, we waited for three weeks and finally had to disconnect the account and go with ATT because no one could help. I have never seen this level of incompetence!!! They need to be held accountable!
