Proposed Subway Elevator Structures in NYPD Frozen Zone

The proposed elevator wasn't brought to a public forum for discussion, nor was not discussed with local residents. As a consideration for the mega-height of the building, the community should get more than this, and if anything it should impact their street scape, not the rest of the buildings around them!

Against elevators in the NYPD frozen security zones. Makes it too easy for terrorists to move large objects. I also find it interesting that 45 Broad, who is proposing this to get height allowance isn’t putting an elevator in front of its building but instead across the other side of Exchange St. something tells me this was on purpose, don’t want to have it in front of their own building. Move the elevator there, see how quick they think it’s a good idea then.

This structure provides both a security risk to the neighborhood and is totally inconsistent with the historical nature of the block. There are many other options local residents would entertain and benefit from and could have worked in conjunction with the developer on. I have no issue with the construction of the new towers, but I do have an issue with the elevator in the security zone. NIMBY.

Security issues, crowd issues, and ugly eyesore. Not to mention hideous construction noise. Tourist are a big annoyance to residents, and we don’t need to give them another reasonn to come onto Broad street.

Very concerned about security issues regarding large capacity elevator in security zone

It's very challenging to navigate the crowds of people doing tours, general tourist and soon whole foods customers on Broad st. This will make things even more challenging. I can barely get the stroller down the street. Please consider moving this down the street where it's less crowded.

The "give back" is actually completely undesirable and inappropriate. "Give backs" should be offers that have positive value, not negative value. In this case, not only do we lose out on air rights, but we are penalized with the subway elevator structures which will disrupt our apartment security. How is this fair to the residents at 15 Broad Street?

This would undermine all the investments made to seal this zone from potential threats. We have plenty of examples to mention in order to illustrate our case.

An elevator is an unsightly and inappropriate "give back" to place on this incredible Landmarked street. A park would be more fitting and useful for the daily workers and visitors through that historic block. Benches and greenery over metal and glass elevators!! The area is devoid of and begs for it. THANK YOU!

This is blatantly inappropriate for one of the most historical blocks in Manhattan. How is it that buildings on the block were blocked from installing things like outdoor planters because they could become shrapnel in an attack, however an all glass elevator can reside on that same corner. I vehemently oppose this unnecessary and dangerous structure.
