Where we lived before moving to the island we always knew when the travellers had arrived because things stared getting nicked. Even stole the alternator from our van in broad daylight. Get ready to lock everything up for miles around folks. I'm off to upgrade the CCTV.

It will be a stop off place for all gypsy/travellers who go to ireland and that means thousands,can you imagine the filth and rubbish distributed around the area,no we do not want it.

A completely negative impact will be seen by allowing this, not just to the tourism in Llanfair PG but to the whole of Anglesey! no, no, no......

These people have no respect for anythig or anybody. Will my council tax pay for cleaning up the site after they have made a mess. When did any of these travellers pay any sort of tax. Not for Llanfairpwll.

Who wants an eyesore like that so near the village with the longest name. Why did the council even consider it ?? Totally unacceptable.

The road between Gaerwen & Llanfairpwll has seen a lot of accidents, some fatal. To introduce another entrance & exit is asking for trouble.

I oppose this proposed site on the grounds that it is unsuitable and a safety concern . It will also have a negative impact on both the communities of Star and Llanfairpwll.

Completely unsuitable site for many reasons , including safety of the travellers and the public.
The Anglesey Council have blatantly disregarded their own policies and guidance , aswell as any valid issues raised by the local residents.
This was evident by comments made by the CEO of Anglesey Council during a public meeting in June i.e. We will agree to disagree ?
Clearly bad press yet again for Angley Council.

The site is not suitable especially with children. There have been so many fatalitiies on the A5 in this area. Also no pavement on the side of the A5 between Star and Llanfairpwll. Not much thought has been put into this in respect of caring for the travellers and their children. Too close to a busy main road.

Very unsuitable site! Between both busy roads, A55 & A5. The width of the proposed site I believe is not much, also a major Railway is only a short distant away. If I lived there or stayed there a while my worry would be for my family and children. Not suitable and I believe Anglesey Council are rushing the things through.... Why this site and not others which I believe would be more suitable? For Travellers especially....

absolutely unsuitable for any family short stay or not.!! A 55 within 5 meters A 5 within 1 meter of the site. London Holyhead railway track 150 meters. Come on .

I strongly disagree that this land is suitable for Travellers/Gypsies as it is situated between the A55 and A5 and the main railway line from Holyhead runs along this route. On this site also runs the mains gas line.

Star is a small community which will be significantly affected by this planned site. Recent incidences of disruptive and aggressive behaviour at Mona airfield illustrate the impact that this could have. The UK Government Planning and Travellers Policy states that "local planning authorities should ensure that sites in rural areas respect the scale of, and do not dominate, the nearest settled community, and avoid placing an undue pressure on the local infrastructure". This planned site is likely to dominate such a small community. In placing a site so close to established residences, this plan fails to "respect the interests of the settled community" who are likely to feel threatened and unsafe in their own homes.

Some may be law abiding but watch 'petty' crime rise ! Travellers shoplifted £2.5K stock from my LLPG business a few years ago by way of reccie by a couple then follow up visit by 8 people together ( so appeared genuine clients), Used distraction with myself and staff member - all over in 10 minutes. Police response was " we'll come and take statement but they're probably away on the ferry by now". Insurance does not cover shoplifting.... What may be classed as petty theft whether from homes or businesses is not 'petty' to the victim...
