The name Savannah High School is perfect the way it is! The proposed new name is just cumbersome and unnecessary. If any changes are made to the school, let them be geared towards academia and the upkeep of the building.

The name Savannah High School (SHS) not only represents thousands of students, who's grown up to become productive citizens, but it represents a family. ALL SHS alumni bleed the Blue and White! SHS is our heritage. Taking the name away, is like losing a loved one. I absolutely oppose!!!!!!!!!! This is an insane idea, that had to come out of the mouths of non SHS graduates. How would you feel if it were the high school you attended, your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, your mother, father, sisters and brothers, cousins, and friends, the very place you met your wife or husband? SHS is a legacy, and is still a learning force in our neighborhood!!!!!! Please reconsider, changing the name of our beloved school, would break the hearts of MANY!!!!!!!!!

I am against the name change unless Savannah High is first in the name. There are so many memories for Alumni's. There can be Career Center noted and established in the school without changing the name in the community.

I personally and professionally believe the renaming of the school is like erasing not only the students and faculty history with the school but also the community. Savannah High School is the core in many individuals lives where there dreams, friendships and vision began as they embraced their future and one they could look back on be proud to say yes "I.we" were a part of that. If you change the name now where would it end. I plead do not change the name. Do not erase our history. Thank you.

I have no problem with the new programs or skills they are bringing into savannah high school. But my problem is if they keep changing the name and moving savannah high to the back. Eventually it will be erased and the colors, mascots and memories gone with it. Please rename Savannah High School Career Center East.
