Proposed apartment complex in Stonewall Neighborhood

Terrible idea! Opposed!

Do not change the zoning to allow for apartments. We have a school overcrowding issue as it is and this will further complicate the issue. Leave this neighborhood intact!!

We need schools not more apartment complex

I'm not in favor of the Zone change. It could create congestion on man o war due to the potential for another traffic light which would be less than 1/2 mile from the current light at the intersection of Plantation and man o war. It would also put additional traffic through a residential neighborhood which I'm sure will include large trucks. It will increase noise through the neighborhood - was a noise study when man o war was built? Is a traffic study available for this area? What's the impact for additional traffic? I would like to see the findings and recommendations from the study. It's not clear on how the traffic will be managed (i.e. Additional traffic lights or stop signs through the neighborhood, traffic calming).

I very much oppose the zoning change for this land.

I am opposed to the rezoning of the Higbee Mill Road area for apartments.

This will not be good for anyone except the developer.

I would like this land to continue to be in a natural state with either a small park or woodland area.

There is no need to change zoning. In fact the city should buy the property and turn it into an extended park from across the street.

I am curious when the land was zoned for townhouses. I am also curious how development of any sort would impact the water quality of the stream and also downstream flooding.

We are very opposed to apartment development in stonewall. We have lived here 30 years and appreciate our country-like area. Traffic on Claysmill is heavy enough! PLEASE STOP DESTROYING OUR GREENSPACE!!!!

This isn't an appropriate use of this acreage. A 50 year old single family development should not be now totally changed with multi-family 3 story buildings. Our zoning dept needs to be responsive to the opinions of the taxpayers of the subdivision, their concerns and their quality of life

I do NOT want the zone changed.

Terrible idea to dump an extra complex worth of traffic onto narrow, no-shoulders Higbee Mill Road and then onto Clays Mill, with no light, no extra lanes. That no-light intersection is about six car lengths from the Clays Mill - Man-O-War intersection, which is always backed up. Throw in the MOW traffic turning into Clays Mill, which the Higbee Mill cars can't see, and you will have a shooting gallery of traffic crashes. Will need a light, but too close to MOW to put one in.

We will have a real problem between this and the unit they are putting at the end of Bravington.

When was this acreage purchased by the developer?

I am personally against this project due to the unwanted increase in traffic.

This request should be denied, this is not a place for an apartment complex.

As a resident off Spring Run Road, I do not see the benefit this could bring? We already have too much traffic on Clays Mill and Clays Mill extension, and the added traffic to the area will only congest things and create more accidents. I strongly oppose this venture, and I hope enough signatures are gained in order to defeat this apartment complex from being built. There are plenty of other areas in Lexington and the surrounding area and my hope is they can decide to do this somewhere else. Please DO NOT BUILD!!!!!!
