Proposed apartment complex in Stonewall Neighborhood

We are very opposed to this. The increase traffic would cause safety issues for our kids who walk and ride the bus and who use that park.

This project is not appropriate for either the possible environmental effects or the mismatch with the character of the neighboring community...to say nothing of losing the green space buffer from Man o War Blvd and likely traffic impact.

my concern would be flooding the area is low and drains slow . If water run off from building and parking lot cannot drain and will cause flooding down stream. Not to mention polluting South Elkorn.

just say no. apartment, town homes and duplexes are simply business designed to create income and business are not allowed in a single family neighborhood.

i vote no. stonewall has no room for multi level housing

my vote is no of course. installing huge apartments in a single family dwelling is simply crazy. The added traffic is more then enough to vote no. However if the council is going to allow business to pop up throughout the stonewall neighborhood i would like to put a convenience store in front of my house. see everyone on Thursday.

I I have lived in this neighborhood for 15 years and have seen in many other neighborhoods what developments like this have caused. Not only would this be horrible for the wildlife in this area seen that this is one of the only places that they can go for refuge but it will also bring too much traffic into a congested area.there are many schools very close to this location and all this traffic will make it very unsafe for children who walk or play in this neighborhood! There are a lot of young families with young children in this neighborhood.

More traffic that is not needed. Guarntee a stoplight would go up at Higbee Mill/Clays Mill as a result of this development, thats what Clays Mill and city don't need, another stoplight!

We need the green space and we definitely do not need apartments and the extra traffic they would cause.

We have lost enough woods areas around there. The wildlife will have no place to go and we already have enough apartment buildings in Lexington

This type of change would increase the traffic count . Ii oppose the change in zoning.

Recommend keeping area as zoned. Considering the presence of the stream and floodplain, the nature of the housing in the neighborhood, and the condition of the road that would provide the only access to the complex, this is not a good site for the proposed density of development.

Do NOTwant to see this developed in this fashion! The area is one of the last buffer zones, and do not want the additionsl traffic,noise, and influx of people who generally move alot with less regard for their neighbors, many of which have been their for decades!
