Proposed apartment complex in Stonewall Neighborhood

I hate to see anymore of our nature areas destroyed.

Dont ruin a well established neighborhood. No need for more traffic

This is too much of a family friendly area to put apartments in. There are enough new apartments on our side of town near there. We need more trees and land to be left alone. Not more construction.

Would be a disaster for our wonderful neighborhood.

There is enough commercialization in Lexington already, with no revelation of where this cash is coming from; Lexington does not need more apartment complex - especially integrating into traditional communities. The land needs to be left alone and kept as natural, as this is one of the few spots left in Lexington that allows for nature. Statistics have shown for the last 10+ years that where apartment complex are, crime goes up - there are also schools to consider that are close to this area. There is no need for this to occur - and if the residents do not want it, then do not build it!

I oppose any apartment buildings being built in the stonewall neighborhood

I live at 3549 Cornwall Drive and am totally against this zone change.

Bad deal. Do we need more apartments/condos? Harrodsburg and Higbee Mill, Winthrop and Man O War, Harrodsburg and Old Schoolhouse. I hope the developers will reconsider this plan.

I don't live in Stonewall, can't afford it...yet. It is a beautiful neighborhood, people work hard to live somewhere that nice. Don't allow greedy developers to bring it down.

I am totally against this development. Good grief, this developer, etc needs to be told NO!

Please do not change the zoning for this area. The last thing we need is more traffic in that area. Plus this has the potential to cause a lot of problems in a very nice neighborhood.

I think it is safe to assume that whenever this property was zoned R-1T (townhomes), the issued was carefully vetted by the P&Z commission at that time. What has changed in the area (answer = nothing) that would be reason for the current P&Z to change that determination? It would be interesting to know when the current R-1T zoning was established and if R-3 was attempted at that time, and if so, why was R-3 disallowed.

Long established neighborhood of single family homes. Strongly oppose

Neither two three-story buildings cramming the space adjacent to Longwood nor the destruction of our wild spaces will benefit our neighborhood. We oppose the change in zoning as detrimental to our neighborhood. And, although flooding problems have plagued this area, this project includes building a parking lot for over 100 cars which will increase flooding problems especially downstream. They also propose tennis courts with the same result. The wildlife occupying that site will be displaced and the tree canopy Lexington so desperately needs will be reduced.

this would adversely impact all that live in the neighborhood. terrible idea.

I grew up in Stonewall on Longwood and this is such a bad idea.

No to building in that area

Just like the townhouses at Old Higbee Mill and Man O War. These structures have no place in this area!!! With all the housing on the market, building permits should be reduced!

Plenty of empty apartments up and down Man O War and Harrodsburg. Greedy developer and builder.

There is so much traffic now, I can't imagine how bad of an intersection and wrecks all the time!! Not a Good fit for Stonewall and that intersection for sure!
