Proposed apartment complex in Stonewall Neighborhood

Hi, Hoping someone will see this. Congratulations on getting the requested zoning change denied. I live in Masterson Station. We are also staring down a zoning change that would be detrimental to the neighborhood — a request to build 569 apartment units and townhomes in two- and three-story buildings. I'd like to talk to someone involved with the Stonewall petition and pick their brain, since you all did such a fantastic job organizing people to attend the Planning Commission hearing. No to proposed zoning change

I strongly oppose this zoning change. There is no viable reason the planning commission should approve this developer's request. This multi-family development is not in character of this established single-family neighborhood. Further, it will increase traffic on a roadway already suffering too much vehicle travel, it will diminish property values, it will decrease permeable land needed for water drainage and it will harm ecological systems. I don't understand why this is even being considered.

A very strong 'NO TO ZONING CHANGE' and KEEP OUT THE APARTMENTS!!!

A high density complex in that location is a terrible idea. Will likely decrease local property values, create additional pollution and traffic problems and ruin the local environment, green space. It also has the potential to raise violent crime rates and destabilize the community. The nearby park will become crowded and no longer be viable. None of which is desirable for this single family dwelling community.

I fully believe the impact of this is another step backwards economically and will seriously compromise the value of homes in this well established neighborhood. Why is there a constant need and/ or want from builders to come into and disrupt older more established neighborhoods? Another moneymaking project for someone whom has no idea or care for the repercussions after they build it and get their money.

Ridiculous. Why does every inch of ground have to be developed? Schools are already overcrowded. Traffic is a nightmare.

We have enough Apts., condos. etc already--Can't we leave a few acres with just dirt, bushes, etc? Do we have to pave every square inch of Fayette county? Enough is enough--this is a horrible place to put an Apt. complex, or any housing for that matter. NO--keep it as it is.

This is no place for apartments. We need to keep this strictly houses. NO APARTMENTS PLEASE!!!!

Absolutely No! Kids safety should be priority and if this new development passes, it will put kids at risk for many things. Not every piece of land has to have development...leave nature alone in this area. Go build elsewhere!

As a Stonewall resident, I am opposed to any zoning change for the 7 wooded acres encompassing the Higbee Mill Road/Cornwall Road/Longwood Road area.
