Proposed 5G mast at corner of Margaret Road and Quarry High Street

The flats on that corner are already an eyesore - please do not add to the disfigurement of the entrance to Quarry High Street/Quarry.

Possible effects on health could be even more important than appearance.

I am not so sure, as others seem to be, that this proposal is harmless but that aside there is no doubt that it will have an overbearing impact on the neighbourhood. In addition, as it will be within a conservation area, I understood that planning permission will only be granted for developments that preserve or enhances the special character and appearance of the area or the setting. I do not believe that anyone could reasonably argue that this development fits within that description. As others have suggested I believe if the mast is a necessity going forward then it should be situated along the eastern bypass away from property entirely.

Is this really necessary considering there are already mobile masts situated by the dual carriageway at the Beaumont Road junction.

Is there really a need for another mast as there is already one situated by the Six Bells public house junction. This mast would be an eyesore that would be detrimental to the charm and setting of a conversation area. I also have concerns regarding proximity to the playgrounds and potential health hazards from a 5g emission.

Not an appropriate location for this very tall mast and accompanying cabinets. Please find somewhere more appropriate.

I have no objections on health grounds, but this mast will be far too overbearing in the proposed location.

Is the mast needed as there are there are existing masts on the eastern bye pass and the Green Road roundabout

Please put the mast somewhere else! Why not on the other side of the park on St Margaret’s , where it’s less of an eyesore?

This is an inappropriate site for a 20metre high monopole mast and four equipment cabinets. I wonder whether Hutchison made a site visit? Perhaps a visit when children are walking to and from school/nursery. The physical dangers of four equipment cabinets on that site would be obvious. Let alone an overbearing mast in a conservation area.

the top of the church tower would seem a much better location fort this infrastructure. 5G is a form of non ionizing radiation and therefore i do not believe it poses any health risk. But siting this infrastructure at this location is insensitive to the existing street secene, and makes any attempts to link quarry hollow park with margaret road park, on the diagonal across the junction, more difficult.

While I welcome the provision of 5G services in the Quarry, the location itself is not appropriate due to the visual impact on a key entrance to the Conservation Area. Other locations that have significantly less impact are available within 100m of the proposed site - these should be explored

I think this mast could be put in a less promenant position within the area.

A 20 metre high mast in a conservation area is unsuitable in the extreme. Moreover, little research has been done to prove that 5G does not adversely affect both human health and wildlife. Let’s not test it out by putting this mast in a residential area so close to homes, a children’s playground, a nursery and a community centre.

This is a sensitive site, one of the entrances to the conservation area. A 20m mast here is not appropriate.
