We need tax relief. You’re killing us on property tax. A $1000 increase in one year to pay and then you just tagged us again for $26k in value. Can’t wait to see the new bill. Ridiculous. This isn’t Jackson Hole.

Another huge jump in property assessment values again this year!!!
OUTRAGEOUS conduct by the Bannock Assessor and Commissioners during a global pandemic and skyrocketing unemployment!
I have personally requested an inquiry into this matter to Governor Brad Little and Senator Mark Nye. If others are as upset as I am then they should do the same.

Realtors should not be allowed to hold this office. And the city needs to learn to manage.

People whose jobs have been taken from them by the government can't afford to pay taxes.

No more taxes! The property tax on my home is more than 10% of my income. The local politicians are making housing un-affordable. My parents live in Los Angeles and I pay more in property tax than they do, and their house is worth 4 times what my house here in Pocatello is. I think this is absolutely insane!

We definitely don’t need property assessments going up. Last year they took a big jump and property taxes went up. With Covid 19 and so many people not working they can’t afford rising property taxes.

I'm in Boise, Ada County. We have the same kinds of disgusting squeezing of taxpayers as Pocatello has. The State of Idaho also said relief would probably be coming, but as usual that was before push came to shove. Every year, same old, same old.

Stop the madness! Bannock county residences pay the highest taxes with little to show for it. It's time to hold our officials accountable for their budget overruns and stop putting their mismanagement on the back of homeowners.

I had to refinance because of taxes. You are taxing us out of our homes.

With people being unemployed, and businesses not allowed to function, for such a lengthy time, increasing taxes should be a last priority. Any government official doing so will be telling the citizens of Pocatello, that they don't care about them, and don't even want to try to represent them.

I think enough is enough. This is absolutely not acceptable! You need to figure out something different.

We need tax relief. I also intend to do everything in my power to be sure not a single elected official in pocatello gets re-elected.

If you really care about the people that elected you our taxes must be reduced and do what we are requesting.

Responsible entities locally, nationally and worldwide have required their staffs to find ways to cut overhead. Why should the City of Pocatello or Bannock County not also be willing, no, acxious to do so?

This is exactly the sort of thing I campaigned on years ago.
