Thank you to the Ministry for such a valuable initiative. My previous school used the PROgrant funds to create Math Night - a fun and informative night for immigrant parents who are not well immersed in Canadian ways of learning. It was very well received and we met with many parents who shared, common at home teaching issues but had no where to voice their concerns. The PROgrant funds made this evening possible. We stand for re - approvals of the PRO grants. Thank you.

Please reconsider releasing the pro grants to each school. The workshops made available to parents are tremendously beneficial and very educational. The tools, tip and trick and general information provided are extremely helpful and very resourceful in certain situations. Knowing who and where to contact is extremely important. Also being able to interact with other parents who are going through similar situations, not only is it comforting to know you are not alone, but it’s also a great way to get to know other fellow parents in your community that you may not necessarily get an opportunity to do so if these workshops weren’t made available. Please reconsider!

Come on, Dougie! The PRO Grant is a small price to pay to help parents, schools and communities work together for the betterment of our children. Our School Council puts the money to great use every year. It's an investment in our kids!
