I love being at scad. I love my classmates and professors and the events here. Even when I struggle with the workload I always praise scad for how it pushes and encourages us. However, housing has been an issue since I first came in here. Routinely scad housing has disregard accommodations, left students high and dry, and say new housing is for upperclassman just to switch up without warning. Housing is such an issue with scad. Over-admittance has been another constant issue. Combined with the fact that we *lose scholarship money if we live off campus* it’s almost comically cruel. I try to see both sides when scad and the people of Savannah are at odds because I know we’re not malicious. But I cannot and will not recommend scad to anyone anymore. My loans for tuition are the only reason why I can dorm. I work at scad part time and I wouldn’t even be able to make half of rent here. The housing crisis here is only going to get worse under this encouragement. Scad has to reevaluate its goals of money that are at odds with its integrity and mission.

As a Freshman I do feel bad that as I become an upperclassmen there is now an increased chance that I won't get into housing
