Prevent relocation of drug addicts & vagrants from Durban to South Coast

Do not want vagrants to come to our community it is opportunity for them to do crime.

This will turn our community into a war zone, we will have to stay at home 24/7 365 /12. Not only will this negatively targets our community but also the holidaymakers will abandon our town and we depend financially on holidaymakers.

It's wrong what they are doing bringing crime into our otherwise peaceful area are they going to start replacing my things that get stolen or face the consequences when they murder someone for drugs no ways stay out our community is tight we will drive them out

Im against this because it will create a dangerous area to live in and crime and robbery will increase and people will loose the value of the houses

Understandably, homeless people are not all criminals. However, the decision that was made without prior notice or involvement of the community has caused shock and concern. We understand the socioeconomic need, but this community is unable to accommodate that need. We are barely surviving in between sewage issues, network issues, illegal dumping, criminal activity and a host of other concerns. It would be detrimental to the lives of the community and those without homes to be relocated in this area. This decision shows very poor planning, lack of regard for community members who have actively participated in making this community better for themselves after tirelessly trying to ask for help.

We don't want drug addicted people next to our properties. We are already struggling with crime, and we cannot take more. No.

How does the city just dump their problems elsewhere for someone else to deal with... They must solve their owm problems locally!

It will cause problems as addicts will enter the area. It iz not safe for our children.

You can not dump your problems on The Lower Illovo. Sort the Issue out in Durban. There area a lot more abandoned and larger building.

There is NO way in hell, our property value will drop to nothing, prostitution, drugs, crime and chaos will be brought to a FAMILY neighborhood.

We all understand that everybody needs a home but not at the expense of hurting others

It has been tried before. The vagrants end up destroying the premises, stripping it for money to feed their drug habits. There are no opportunities for work in our area. Security of our homes and families will be compromised. Ethekwini must find another solution to their problem and not burden our community.
