I am concerned about safety of children, young people , elderly and domestic workers mostly women who commute in the area . Risking being mugged by drug addicts. Turning a safe community to a crime infested zone.

the community will be exposed to drugs and crime. the past expirience of says it all. rather let the Sakhithemba be a community centre for skills etc. let it be for a community, not against the community.

Relocating these people to lower Illovo will just increase the trouble that this community has to deal with on a daily basis not to mention the increase of drug usage in and around the area.

Absolutely ridiculous. Why move the crime and drugs, why not put more effort into catching them in the act and keep them in prison. Stop looking for an easy way out.

We already have too many vagrants in our area. We must we be subjected to more of them?

They need to solve the problem, not pass it on. It will cause crime in the area. Find another solution

How convenient - instead of making efforts 2 solve the problems that cause ppl 2 abuse substances & 2 live in the streets in the 1st place, let's just dump it on some1 else... Very mature and constructive approach... NOT!! and how abt these ppl that they r 'relocating' - have they even been asked if they want 2 b moved places?? Addicts or not, they too have certain rights... what is there for them that they can do or where they coukd go 2 2 get help if they one day decided they didn't want 2 abuse substances, live in the streets, wanted 2 work and lead a normal life, etc??
