This is not the first time the 92y has attacked Judaism. Inviting, hosting and promoting the BDS leader Roger Waters is their history. The UJA-Federation allows these anti-Israel activities. The UJA-Fed subsidiary (Jewish Communal Fund) finances The Rachel Corrie Memorial fund in Gaza. These grants are listed in the UJA-Federation's IRS form 990 as filed with the United States Government. See: www.Jccwatch.org

It's painful to see such a wonderful, well-run all-inclusive organization as yours moving away from its public service mandate. The non-affiliated Jews and non-Jews are allowed to eat Kosher - but those preserving the faith of their ancestors are being discriminated against. Please don't tarnish all the good work you do - and reconsider. Thank you so much!

Wrong on many levels

I am very disturbed and find it personally offensive that you plan to serve non-kosher meals at your gala, especially since some attendees will not be aware of the change and will therefore violate their personal convictions and practices.

Its got to be all about the money. How much money are you really saving in NYC- do the right thing- kosher for everybody.

Please change to a real kosher caterer. Not just in style

Not using a generally-approved kosher caterer is a very lowly slap in the face to the tradition of the 92nd St Y, appears a sop to assimilationists and those ashamed of age-old Jewish laws and traditions, and is openly discriminatory against many Jews for whom this organization was originally founded. The fact that this change was arranged in an underhanded manner with minimal publicity confirms the above statements.

Add a time where intermarriage rates are alarming!-- and we're not setting the proper example for the minimum required means necessary for the Jewish people--i'm not standing on the podium saying reform conservative orthodox--i'm just saying that kosher is a must!

It is so disrespectful to do an event that is not Kosher!! Non Jews are more respectful than u r. You must not do this. U will be causing many Jewish people that follow the kosher dietary laws to do the wrong thing. That's on u!

I was very disappointed to hear about this. I was considering registering my daughter for classes there, but I will not if dietary laws are no longer observed. Please update me, if you can, as to whether or not you intend to go forward with the non-kosher food at your gala. We need to inform others.
