I was very surprised and disappointed to hear about this. Please reconsider. Thank you.

In today's day and age, when kosher food is so readily accessible and good, its disgraceful that the 92Y would choose now to serve non kosher food at a big event.

I stopped visiting the 92nd St. Y years ago, when it began to lose its Jewishness. This incident, and the several others I'm aware of, are appalling and deplorable. SHAME.

I strongly believe that a Jewish community organization needs to maintain standards that allow all segments of their religious members to be properly accomadated.

I'm surprised at your regressive attitude towards your Jewish brothers who choose to maintain the historic traditions of our ancestors.

Please make the Gala on May 15 and all future events strictly KOSHER. The 92nd St Y is legally obligated as an affiliate and grantee of UJA funds to make all their catered events Kosher.

Disgusting. It doesn't look like it's a financial decision, there is the endowment. It can't be based on the fine dining aspect as the are more highly skilled and trained KOSHER chefs to rival their non-kosher counterparts than ever before. So what can it be other than anti semitism or simple bad decision-making. In this era of inclusion for the 92nd street Y to stand behind this decision is offensive. They have decided to alienate or make uncomfortable those who follow kosher laws. I'm quite certain that they would certainly not even contemplate to offending a hallal-diet follower.

An institution that has always made Kosher dinners, should not stop suddenly. It is misleading the public and it is called in Hebrew "Geneivas Daas." Stealing a person's knowledge. It is not inclusive, and sends a message to the Kosher community that they are not wanted. Please reconsider. Thank you.

This action is disrespectful to the participants who keep kosher. As a "jewish" institution, you have a duty and an obligation to insure that all public events maintain kosher dietary laws, whether or not you keep kosher yourself.

I am appalled that the 92nd Street Y will serve a non-kosher meal at its event. I just attended the Spring Gala of the Jewish Board last week at the Plaza Hotel. Not only was all the food served at the event certified Glatt Kosher by the Star-K and they even had an Acappella performance by the Maccabeats so as to observe the prohibition on musical instruments during the Sefira observance period. Shame on the 92nd Street Y for not following suit....

I am shocked that we are facing this issue in 2017. This is certainly a move backward that should be rectified immediately.

As a Jewish organization, you should continue your former policy of including all Jews by having your catered events be kosher. Do not exclude those of us who keep kosher - and do not upset those who expect that your policy is the same as it has been - and unwittingly eat treyf. Really, it's a no-brainer.

For the life of me, I cannot begin to understand why the Y would even consider having an institutional event that was not under strict kosher supervision. I am a Conservative Jew, and am appalled.
