The 92nd St. Y is supposed to be all-inclusive. This non-kosher event is clearly showing that it wants to exclude people, and that it doesn't care about Jewish laws and traditions. If it goes through with this, it has lost my trust.

W H Y?
This is very very tragic that an organization like the 92nd St Y should consider doing this.

We should be respectful of each other's opinion and inclusive as much as we can, hence all events should continue to be truly Kosher.

Tradition is important.. NOT.keeping Glatt Kosher is denying entry to those who are observant Jews.

The extra effort and expense of obtaining kosher food is worth it to maintain and strengthen the ties between Hashem and His people.

i am horrified that the prominent 92nd St Y would serve NOT KOSHER food at their event. in a c ity like NY where it is so easy to get delicious kosher food, this is a travesty. there is no reason to serve treif food. please reconsider and go KOSHER.!

How can you drop Kosher the week after we read Kedoshim tichyu - you shall be Holy?
How can you show such disrespect to your members during the very period of sefira, when we mourn for the 24,000 students of Rabbi Akiva who died due to there lack of respect for each other?
And how can you deny the very Torah that has kept Jews Jewish over the past 2,000 years, just weeks before the festival of the giving of the Torah?
You are stepping on dangerous territory and we demand that you immediately change caterers and bring in kosher caterers as had been done for decades.

It is shameful that the 92nd YMHA should even think of planning a non-kosher/treif dinner. I hope they realize their serious mistake and reverse their decision.

This is very sad. 92nd Y abandons its Jewish roots.

Very disappointed to hear this. No reason for this, in a city that has one of the largest selections of excellent kosher cateres in the world.

It is sad that a Jewish institution can not hold up to at least the minimum values of Judaism.. Of all that is produced on its tv shows it leans to the non Jewish world topics than the Jewish world so it has to act to those in the world and can not even eat Kosher in a Jewish institution,, So sad. The spiritual holocaust of America.. See how and what this country is turning into.. A typical anti Semitic country full of hate of Jews. spewed by hate of people and their crazy religions. What Jews have gone through for 2000 years. At least let them feel what and why we are Jews and why these other people just spew hate for no reason.......
