The 92nd Street Y MUST remain strictly kosher. Doing otherwise can force those who do not understand that "kosher-style" is simply treyf to sin. Get a new Rabbi, a fully Kosher one, to advise you.

Kashrut should not be in question at these types of events. Please reconsider.

Disgraceful that such a well respected organization as the 92nd St Y, funded by the NY Jewish Federation, would through the baby out with the bathwater. To paraphrase, "The Jews Don't Keep Kosher, Keeping kosher keeps the Jews".

To think that over 50 years ago, Rav Yosef Dov Solovetchik ,The Rav, use to give lectures there.
In the words of Isaiah: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High. Yet you will be brought down to the underworld ,to the lowest depth of the pit.

It is standard procedure in most communities around the country that all public events are kosher through the most reputable agency in the community. What this alleged "Rabbi" is doing is a major chillul HaShem.

We will no longer support the 92 st Y, donations to it should cease until this is corrected.

Makes no sense, sounds like the board or rabbi are promoting a personal agenda. An event at a Jewish establishment must be inclusive of all. In this day and age, it's so simple to get kosher food. Whether someone personally practices oral law or not, we should respect all faiths and beliefs, to purposely alienate a certain sect is disgraceful. Maybe he will become president one day.
