Apart from the decision to eliminate from the dinner persons who keep kosher, Rabbi Rubenstein is also violating the conditions of the Y's affiliation with UJA. The dinner should be restored to its traditional form and Rabbi Rubinstein should be terminated for cause.

To the 92nd Street Y and to Rabbi Rubinstein. You must reverse your decision to make the Gala non-kosher. You will be desecrating G-d's name and cause many unsuspecting Jews to eat treif. Walk it back and do the right thing.

You can't take traditions that us Orthodox Jews have been keeping for thousands of years and just throw it out the window.

The Y's continuing attack on traditional Judaism is disgraceful.

in an era of cooperation among various Jewish streams, this represents as shameful an event as chareidi exclusion of reform/conservative worship in Israel. sadly in a certain sense it justifies it.

In addition to all that Rabbi Hoffman has put forth; this blunder creates a massive Chillul Hashem.
I wonder if Rabbi Rubinstein knows what this means????

Please reconsider breaking away from the tradition that has been handed down father to son, rabbi to student, for thousands of years.

A tremendous mistake. Is it that difficult to provide authentic kosher?
