This is hard to understand. Education is becoming something else. First sex material, now this. Wondering what would be the next ?

I studied a lot to write the entrance exam for SATEC. I put so much effort to earn my spot. Why should I have to give it up because some students didn't make the cut?

I'm in leadership at RH King and I say that with pride. Being part of the program changed my life drastically and I love it. I had to put effort into getting into the school therefore I should have an advantage. Just because other students did not get accenptance does not mean I should lose my right to attend King. That is not equity, that is equality.

this is absolutely ridiculous that anyone would ever want to eliminate art schools. they have helped us to express ourselves and be apart of a community of people with a common passion and goal for ourselves. i can’t believe this could ever cross anyone’s mind, we are in 2017 in toronto ontario canada, we are apart of a world that just wants to be equal and expressive so i find it horrendous that a bunch of people consider this outrageous idea.

As a student of ESA, a school in which every student is required to take speciality art courses, this program would literally shake the single foundation of our school, turning it into one of nothing to offer potential learners.

This is atrocious. I am one of the many students that attend a special education program, and I believe they are very helpful for variety in schools. I would be torn apart if any of these special schools especially Etobicoke School of the Arts, which I attend

We all tried very hard to get in, and do what we're passionate about. Getting rid of these programs will do much more harm than good.

Hi, my name is Sandy, parent of 2 children. My children are not in the specialized programs. I understand the importance of equity in regards to allocation of same resources for all Ontario students, however i am totally against phasing out the specialized programs as this act is actually taking the right away for those gifted student, for which they have work hard for. For ones that are gifted, I personal feel a need for special curriculum that fits their needs or else their talents will be minimize as the regular class won't meet their need, as a result, loss interest at the school curriculum. We need talented people with all different qualities to build a stronger community , if not a strong country.
Thanks
