I Am fully against this change. What they're doing is equality, not equity. They are reducing the revenue that is earned, and putting many students and teachers in a tough situation. I don't want to see my school turn into a regular one, because I love the arts program.

TDSB should and must offer opportunities for students who want to work hard,study hard to fulfill their dream. The world is changing everyday,every minute. If ther isn't excellent scholars, reseachers, scientists,Canada will fall behind other countries!

We should provide fit programs for all different level students, based on their ability of understanding of the knowledge. It's unfair to deprive advanced students's chance for more challenging learning activity, which should similarly do the harm for the future of our civic society, as with not providing enough basic training for less advanced students.

The arts and other specialized programs are what make high schools appealing to a very varied demographic of students, and help us get motivated and inspired to pursue whatever it is we want to do, planning and practicing for our auditions months in advance. If specialized programs such as arts majors or TOPS schools are shut down, we are facing a grim future with kids who will be unmotivated and unable to excel at their passions just because the TDSB decided to make an unwanted change.

Until it means the TDSB is putting a qualified, competent music, visual art, drama and dance teacher (that's 4 teachers!) in every single high school to guarantee every kid has access to quality arts ed regardless of their school ... I'm not buying it.

Please stop aiming for mediocrity!!! All children are NOT the same and we should be fostering their strengths not watering down education. Shame on the TDSB!!
