Support specialized programs & schools made possible by optional attendance!

Rosedale is the best school I’ve gone to it needs to stay open

Please keep these specialized programs, for those who work hard to be a part of them. Have programs city wide but keep the recognized exceptional programs for optional attendance, for exceptional students! Having average programs will end up with only average outcomes.

I do NOT support the idea of "Phasing out IB and other specialized programs. Every child has their different talents. Everyone has equal opportunity to apply, Why is it unfair?

So many jobs will be lost and you’ll be taking away things like arts and sports that help people get up every day in the morning and go to school. Also you will be putting us into crazy big classes where we will have a way worse learning experience.

Keep the status quo

You can’t take away art schools. They were made for a reason. For people to have a place to showcase their talent and improve by taking specialized classes. Talking these schools away leaves people with having to go to their home schools where those type of classes aren’t available to them.

I love what I do, as well as many people. I appreciate the effort and the art. We have the ability to create and be passionate people, extremely happy as we are. Don't take anything away from us, please.

Our kids benefitted from these great programs (Claude Watson and UFA) and I want to support that they remain. Do not cut such specialty programs.

The Arts create well rounded human beings

Attending specialized programs in highschool totally shaped my outlook on the world, life, and my future. If this didn't happen during those formative years - I don't know who I would be today. These programs allow for students to explore different possibilities for their futures. The programs allow students who may think or process information in different ways to have a way "in" to education. These programs are important and necessary to keeping the city of Toronto a rich and vibrant cultural centre - these programs lay the foundation for that continued future.

We love our arts program, please don't do this.

Specialized programs help cultivate and develop true talent in an academic setting. The TDSB's motivation for eliminating them is another unproven and unfounded example of political correctness gone awry.

I’m in a specialty program and within one year at this school my confidence was boosted so much. This program has helped me and others so much

I attend Rosedale Heights School of the Arts, and as a student who attends an arts school (specialized program) I think it's ridiculous to get rid of them. The students that are in these programs have chosen to be in them because of the talents they have. Not only artistically but acedemically and athletically for example Marc Garneau CI and Birchmount CI. I think the idea of implementing more in standardized schools is better but taking away from specialized schools is wrong. You're not only taking away from them in the present. You're taking away from their future as well.

My daughter feels very happy in gifted program.

WE DESRVE A RIGHT TO GO TO THESE SCHOOLS!!!!!!!

This would leave all the kids who have a safe home at Etobicoke School for the Arts disenfranchised. PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE!

I am an 8th grade student at kksa and I do plan to apply for both UFA and ESA. It’s amazing to see students like myself express themselves through the arts and without all these programs how could we?

STOP IT! Your being very unfair to future students!
