Please don’t end this amazing program. I’m in grade nine and I’ve been dreaming about going to Wexford collegiate school the arts ever since I was in the 4th grade. By ending this programme you’re crushing countless dreams and jobs.

Please do not deprive our talented students from specialization in the name of "equity" . These schools allow children to fairly compete for spots and it is up to those selecting to ensure no discrimination. Choose your staff wisely and they should maintain "equity and equality" in selection. Deal with the root of the problem rather than the symptoms. This is very disappointing. Don't do it.

Phasing out this petition would be phasing out passion, engagement, happiness and success. One of the great things about the specialized programs is that student can study in fields that they are passionate about. They are surrounded by like minded students and are inspired in these spaces. We need to expand these programs so that all student who meet the criteria to get into these programs can participate.

kids don't have a huge voice and can't always speak their minds. Specialized programs are a way for us kids to feel independent in decision making, a way to feel unique, and a way to feel validated. Taking that away from us isn't the right way to include everyone and isn't preparing us to make decisions or meet deadlines in the real world.

Both my daughters were in these enrichment programs which prevented them from being bored at school. They have gone on to become leaders in their fields. We need more of these programs, not less

The arts program and other programs allows kids to properly explore who they are and find out who they may want to become. Shutting the down would stop so many kids from finding who they are.

Add more options to schools, don't cancel the programs that already do!

Phasing out these specialized programs will prevent students from expressing themselves through art and other subjects. I find it disgusting that the TDSB could even consider getting rid of specialized programs. We deserve to do what we love.

I've benefitted immensely from the gifted program and it shocks me that the TDSB is considering phasing is out.

I feel that these programs like IB, Tops, arts programs and arts shouldn’t be cancelled because all their home schools will be super full and the students wouldn’t be able to express what they love if the programs are cancelled and that they won’t be happy
