That’s a really misguided idea. That is the slaughter of innocent livelihoods. If I didn’t go to rosedale i would hate school and maybe not be in it. I do not use hate lightly

How many artists can you name? 5 maybe 10? And how many graduates of all these speciallized schools have there been over the years?

I strongly object to this recommendation and find this to be a completely backwards, unrealistic, short sited and un-effective way to deal with the issue.

Students have to try out and audition for these programs. Clearly they are not open to all students.

It is not specialized if our tax dollars are going there.

Those who did not get in do not have, “the ability to learn at that school and follow their (not there) dream throughthe specialized program”. Just like you said to those who didn’t get in: “find somewhere else”.

I don't see the point of shutting down specialized programs. If the other students feel threatened by students in specialized programs, they should work harder to acheive better results. The students in programs such as IB worked very hard so if other students think that it's only because they are smarter they are wrong. Anyone can attend a specialized program if they try hard enough.

Please don't remove these programs from the system, the children benefit from it.

I am currently an IB student, and can personally speak about how much this program has benefited me. Please do not phase out IB and other specialized programs.

The specialized programs are very valauable to the public school system. We cannot continue to cut measures that enhance our children's future or experiences in school. I would much rather see standardize testing GO before These programs.

This is probably the biggest mistake the TDSB could ever make. These programs help so many kids and it would be ludicrous to get rid of them.
