To whomever is in charge of these changes: visit all these listed art schools-you'll see why they're so important to so many.

I believe that the tdsb shouldn’t take away specialized programs.

I do not agree with this at all. As an art student I feel like my future as a learning artist might be a little bit threatened.

Shame on you TDSB for not considering the health and welfare of the students. Is this your way of silencing creativity and questioning of the status quo and furthering elitism - only those that can afford private programs will have access.

This is ridiculous! You think you're "levelling the playing field for the underprivileged" however everybody has an opportunity to be part of these programs, privileged or otherwise. Everyone has the opportunity to audition/be interviewed for these programs...however IF YOU DON'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES, YOU DON'T GET ACCEPTED. Just like in everything else in life (university, college, jobs, loans, mortgages, apartment applications, etc). So how are these programs any different to life?
If what you really want is for regular schools to have these types of programs available because of limited space available in current existing programs, then address THAT issue. Don't ruin what already exists and is gaining the notice around the world!
These kids have (and are) busting their bums to be part of such programs and deserve to be there. So if others haven't gotten in, then they need to WORK HARDER....THAT'S LIFE!...and it won't get any easier for them when they finish school so better to learn these lessons now..

disgusting the tdsb will be overwhelmed with upset kids and no specialized arts in home schools for at least 5-10 years. Let the kids apply where they please it's one of the best things about the tdsb.

ESA and Art schools are the only reason I would have got through highschool. If the arts weren't curricular I would have stopped going. I'm now in university for music.
