It's a disgrace to see a perfect school be left empty and be later ruined as a previous student I enjoyed my years at this school and a perfect school suituated in a town and surrounding areas where a population is sure to rise it's a pure and utter shame it is equipped with a great new hall and gym that many pupils would benefit from utter shame is all comes too mind

Muine Bheag Vocational School has been educating the children of Bagenalstown and surrounding areas since 1963. It is a fabulous school and the children are devastated that it is to close. Shame on the ETBI and Education Minister Jan O'Sullivan for the cold manner in which they have 'written off' our school without any consideration for the staff, children and parents. We will fight this to the bitter end.

I went to this school and got a good leaving cert I was their in the early nineties when the town was half the size it is now....I didn't do honours maths.... But doesn't more people mean a need for more amenities and not closures...sounds like bad management to me.

Do not close down this school or may be small and may have small numbers in classes but it has been a big part to bagenalstown community for years and should continue to be for any more
