Insurence going up so high is a joke. A lot off people unde the age of 25 work full time or have families that depend on a car and we just can't afford it. That's what causes everyone to drive with no insurance.

I'm getting insurance quotes of well over the price of the car I wish to insure. There isn't a chance for young drivers to get on the road. Insurance is causing uncessary stress and hassle for young drivers to worry about. Quotes of Up to €8000 on small engined cars is not on! However it becomes worse when the quotes vary so much from company to company. So much hassle on finding insurance puts off many drivers. In addition the high expenses lead to drivers taking the chance and not paying the bill because they simply cannot afford it. Who are insurance company's to say who is a good driver are not. Not all young drivers are dangerous. Old " experienced " drivers cause accidents too. We need a fair and just system. Where drivers are not discriminated against.

Discrimination on the grounds of ageism. Also raising insurance premiums on the grounds of a car being too old is utterly stupid. Insurance companies argue it's down to 'older cars being less safe' .We have an NCT annually which should counter this ridiculous claim

Its better for people to be insuring their vehicles instead of insurance companies losing money because people can't afford to pay their crazy expensive qutations and end up driving without insurance

How can young people be expected to pay out between 3 and 9k Euro for car insurance I'm on the road 3 years with no claims and I'm paying over 2k I got quoted last month for €9K on a vw bora how can that be justified ?

Im only 17 and getting quoted €5000+ on a 1 litre polo 2000 which only cost ¼ after tax and few bits and pieces for nct , its an absolute disgrace as im a student so how am i possibly able to afford it.

I am not a youngster anymore but my renewal just come in at over double cost of last year's policy.
