Prevent 21 Acre Large Scale Development on Seminary Ave Near the Falls Road Intersection!

I am opposed to building a megachurch on Seminary Avenue. The church will have an adverse impact on forestation, urban wildlife, and the nearby stream. Seminary Avenue was not designed to carry the large volume of traffic that will result from a megachurch, and surrounding neighbors will likely see a decrease in their property values. If one is a Christian, they are asked to be stewards of God's creation. A megachurch in the Seminary Avenue area will have a devastating impact on that creation.

Baltimore County should be dedicated to preserving any and all riparian buffers existing in our communities. If Grace Church is dedicated to preserving God's creation, they should find an expansive piece of real estate on a pre-existing, closed mall or shopping center site. My first and primary concern is the protection of our environment. My secondary concern is that our existing roadways are not designed to handle the traffic that this megachurch will generate.

Traffic at Falls Rd and Seminary and at Mays Chapel Rd is already horrendous and exceeds capacity at certain times of the day. The intersections in the area could not accommodate mega church traffic.

Stop taking away land and destroying natural habitats for more buildings.

I live on Heil Manor Drive (reisterstown 21136), and take Seminary to and from work every single day. I already stay at work late rather than leave during rush hour, due to the ridiculous amount of time it takes to get through the falls/seminary intersection. Seminary cannot handle the extra traffic, and further development of the area is ridiculously irresponsible to the environment.

I just wish people would start taking the long view. We have huge tracks of land inside the city, long abandoned, whose redevelopment wouldn't put at risk our bay, our streams, and our ever shrinking green space. But this is more about mammon and man than community and caring. Sigh - I'd hoped that Grace would exercise some grace and carefully choose a home less disruptive to the environment.

The corner at seminary and falls is already a dangerous spot with way too much traffic. I think it is crazy to add any additional traffic to that spot
