Artists made Venice, keeping art in the community is essential to keeping Venice Venice. Nobody wants to visit "silicon beach" there is nothing interesting about a bunch of overpriced offices.

"Venice of California" is instantly associated with "artists" all around the world. It should continue to be a fact, not just a label. Gentrification due to the area becoming "Silicon Beach" puts in danger the presence of artists in Venice, a Los Angeles' asset that harbored now world-recognized artists and architects such as Chris Burden, Carles Arnoldi, John Baldessari, Ed Rucha, Charles and Ray Eames, Frank Gehry, Thom Maine, Eric Owen Moss, to name just a few.
