Congress: Don't Cut Life-saving Funding for the National Institutes of Health

This is life saving and life changeing research and should not be financially cut.

Federally funded medical research demonstrates a commitment to continuing to refine and improve the health of the nation's people. To deliberately destroy, cut, and limit access to greater understanding will be felt by Americans and the people of the world through generations. Do not stop the march of progress. Double down on replication studies and expanding our understanding of the incredible human body, how to fight off, and even prevent disease.

Health issue is also a national security issue. By cutting the R&D research budget now, we will lose a lot more down the road to combat human diseases.

You must NOT cut these kinds of essential research.

I use NIH daily for many many years now.. it has help me and so many people that I help in my life.. Please do not cut funding for this. This is a life savor for so many.

People's lives depend on medical research. I wouldn't be here right now without an oral pill for cml called gleevec.

I'm a physician and cancer researcher who is dedicating my time, energy and life to research and the development of better therapies for fellow Americans. This money is critical to ensure the health of our country and progress of science and technology. Don't defund the NIH.

Innovation and future health and economic advancements come from scientific research. US scientists must stay competitive with scientists around the globe!

Support NIH and the important research done by all its institutes especially mental health research (NIMH) - so important to the healthy growth of our country.
