We don’t need to cut down any more trees. We need to plant more and preserve our green space. In this case that’s easy to do. Do your job right!!

The new option to save the trees is important and I commend the efforts of our village to improve the approach to resolving the stormwater issues. I do think improving the core infrastructure would have been the ideal choice and will have to be done someday but if we are going to use a tank option let’s be mindful of what we are harming and impacting.

At a time when the United Nations is leading efforts to plant a trillion trees and we have about a decade before we tip into runaway domino effect of climate catastrophe, cutting down mature healthy trees is the LAST thing we should be doing.

It is very important to our family that Wilmette preserves as many trees as possible in Thornwood Park.

Save 50 trees and save $1.5 million? This should be a no-brainer! Should be....
