That’s basically the only place to ride in CT…when you say it would eliminate 50% I honestly think it’s way more than that…so hoping this petition makes a diff and they keep it for riders!!

Thomaston Dam is the only public trail system in CT that you can ride a dirt bike that is registered as an All Terrain Vehicle legally.
Please don’t take this away from all of the people who ride here responsibly and love this recreational sport.

The dirt bike trails at the Thomaston Dam have a better economic impact for the town of Thomaston than the Greenway with, there must be a different route that will not impact the trails behind the Thomaston Dam.

Been enjoying this place for years, learned to ride safely there with my uncle's and plan to continue this tradition with my kids. The state complains about people riding in the inner city streets, but taking away the legal riding places will only make these problems worse instead of better

Please... there are enough places for people to walk. Plus, you can already walk at the dam while it is operational for the riding season, why change it? Taking away riding at the dam would be a terrible mistake. It is a beloved spot for many, it's one of the only places to legally ride around here. I remember many days spent riding here, they are fantastic memories and give me hope of getting another dirt bike to be able to enjoy this area again.

Eliminating one of two legal riding areas in the entire state is an injustice to people you want to participate in the hobby and have nowhere to ride
