Preserve Thomaston Dam off road use

Love this place to ride and one of the last to be open.

My friends and I drive over THREE HOURS, from NYC to get to Thomaston Dam to ride one of the few places where I can ride a dirt bike the way I did as a kid growing up in rural Maryland. Please don't take away this one little oasis.

I rode there quite often. It's a beautiful place.

Keeping the established trails open is a must. Too much work has gone into them to be taken away.

Save it for the bikes

Keep this place open for off road riding.

Please keep this area open for riding dirt bikes.Places for kids to ride legally are far and few. Places to walk are everywhere.

Not a biker but a great place god this type of recreation. Keep them safe and off the streets.

Everyone will complain that people ride on the road. Stop taking every place away to ride and you will cut the problem in half. Hell, maybe people might even become more legitimate about it and take the sport more seriously and encourage other people to create a community of people who otherwise wouldn’t even ever meet each other.

This is the ONLY legal place for these riders to ride in CT please don’t take it away. Thanks.

Please do not let the only place to ride dirt bikes in Connecticut legally. This is not fair to the off roading community. There are way to many other places for a greenway to be put installed. I love along with many other riders that love Thomason dam for riding. This is good family fun. Again, there is no other place to ride. Thank you.

I’ve been riding dirt bike since at Tomaston Damn since i was 6 tears old.. this place is the sole reason I’ve gotten my dirt bike and really the sole reason i gotten a plate registered pate every to year go appease the park rankers just doing their job. Great people all round tho sad to see a change wanted and would love to be kept to

Allow dirtbike on trails. This would reduce riding areas by 50%

I grew up riding at the dam and still go there on the regular I have been part of the pathfinders club for a a few years Long days of maintenance from clearing brush cleaning garbage that floats down stream and numerous other jobs Please do not mess with the trails This is the only place to ride legally in the state to ride When the netra hare scramble takes place it brings a ton of business to town for that entire weekend to many of thomaston businesses I am born in raised in town and still live here now What’s going to happen to all the damage to this new greenway when dam is flooded Who’s going to clean it up who’s going to pay for the damage to the flooding The dam was closed for a good part of the season due to flooding Please don’t mess with the dirt bike trails!!

Keep the trails for riders,

Closing one of the only legal places to ride off road is not representative of the public. There are innumerable places to walk and hike in this state. Leave the Thomaston Dam alone.

The Thompson Dam should be used by all, not just walkers. Go walk the antique district and allow all to enjoy the beauty that the Thompson Dam provides

Keep thomastom dam for dirtbikes. No need for another walking path.
