Please don't convert the dam trails into walking trails. Thomaston dam is literally half of this states legal off road riding trails. Conversion of the trails to walking paths is only going to serve in an uptick of illegal riding on streets and private property. As it is now, there is already a high number of people who are illegally riding on city streets, main roads, and trespassing on private property. The dam offers a legal option for legit riders to enjoy. The proposed conversion will be devastating to us riders. I hope you take the time to see each and every person's name on this petition. Thomaston dam is important. Its where I personally learned to ride. Where so many of my family and friends have as well. Please don't take this from us. Its our local getaway. It has been, for as long as I can remember, one of the only places to go, ride and enjoy the beautiful hills of the lovely town of Thomaston. I hope you will consider our plea. I hope that many more generations of people get their turn to enjoy it. It is a staple within the off-road community. Thank you for your time, and gracious consideration in this matter.

Our son has been riding here for 10 years do NOT close this legal riding area. There is no where for kids to go and ride legally!!!

I live 1 minute away. I don't ride dirt bikes but respect the fact that people come from all over to use this area because there aren't many options left for them.

I pay taxes on two off road motorcycles and register them and this is the only place in CT that I can legally rode off road with my son. Lack of legal off road riding areas is why people illegally ride in the streets and on private property. Don’t take away the only place we have to legally ride.
