While I have no ridden the trails in years, as a younger person I loved riding my dirt bike there. It was the only place in the state for those of us who want to ride legally. Making people pay to register a bike yet offering no places to ride is asinine. To close the dam to riders would be a tragic loss to the riding community.

Legally riding off-road in Connecticut is nearly impossible to do with the limited places to do so legally. Taking away a place for people to do it legally just creates more problems for the public

The state of CT HAS MORE THAN ENOUGH HIKING OPTIONS. The state continues to allow the sale of dirtbikes, collects taxes on our sales and use yet does not expand options for us to ride. The least you can do is protect the 2 options we do have.

I’ve been here walking & I love that it’s a place for dirt bike riding!!!!! I’ve never run into issues and the bike riders have always been respectful. I hope that it can be kept up as a riding place for there isn’t many spaces like this in CT.

CT needs recreational space for all activities not just walking, running and hiking. Please do not remove the off road motorcycling spaces and trails at the Thomaston dam
