Save the Lummis Home. Let Occidental College take care of it. Its a historic resource in LA that we can't loose. Why doesn't the City of LA appreciate our history????

I loved when this was leased by the Historical Society of Southern California. They were perfect stewards. I hope Oxy will prove to be the same

I was gardener at the Lummis Home for 17 years. It is pretty clear that the city is the problem here as they forced HSSC (previous tenants) out by wanting them to make improvements but refusing to give them the long-term lease they would require in order to obtain grants for these improvements. Good luck Oxy!

Book learning alone does not bring it home for many students and adults. How do we learn but with interactive parts of our history?

We must try to preserve what little history we can. Why can live theater be done there? There are so many ideas can work with imagination and with support.
