Reducing night light is sensible especially since security lighting is an effective way of startling intruders and also effective headlights and reduced speed during nighttime driving is a safer practice.

We can't let light pollution destroy a prime night viewing area like this. A lot of time went into this Its a place to be used and enjoyed by everyone the worldwide. So look after it.Its a wonderful place

My son is 8 years old and is space obsessed, he has a telescope so I would love something like this to be available to him in the future. We are planning a camping trip to the area over the school holidays especially for him so we can check out the observatory.

As a former town planner I believe we should not allow further urban sprawl

The GDC is a magical place, and its ability to both display amazing views of the sky and be in reasonable traveling distance is incredibly rare. Would like it to stay that way!
