Keeping the skies dark ensures the future of the GDC. Our light pollution in the suburban area already greatly reduces the visible stars and planets. It's cheaper to do this than having to build another telescope and associated buildings.

Keep our skies dark for everyone

WA has a fantastic location for real astronomy research and outreach. We can not do this without dark skies. A loss of our skies can lead to serious gaps in scientific knowledge.

To protect what we have that many nations would be envy of our super dark skies and very limited light pollution.

Please leave some darkness so we can see the beauty above.
