Stop taking the things, the simple things away from our children. Space is an awesome way to open up their brain with science

Keeping the skies dark ensures the future of the GDC. Our light pollution in the suburban area already greatly reduces the visible stars and planets. It's cheaper to do this than having to build another telescope and associated buildings.

WA has a fantastic location for real astronomy research and outreach. We can not do this without dark skies. A loss of our skies can lead to serious gaps in scientific knowledge.

To protect what we have that many nations would be envy of our super dark skies and very limited light pollution.

It is important to preserve the dark skies, particularly in the GDC Observatory area, as once development encroaches closer, the dark skies will be lost forever.
