Designate the Coronet Theatre as a Historic-Cultural Monument.

The Coronet is a cultural gem and needs to be protected and preserved.

Coronet Theatre was my audition location for the New Christy Minstrels where I met Sid Garris and toured with the group in 1988...

I studied improv with the amazing Cynthia Szigeti at the Coronet and it opened doors for me in my journey as a writer. The theater is a historical landmark and I support it with my signature here.

I am in support of designating the coronet theater a historical landmark. The rich history and thriving current programming are such an important part of Los Angeles culture. I’ve attended several comedy and music shows at this theater, and feel it is a beacon of hope for the LGBTQ community and the diverse culture in LA.

Protecting cultural landmarks that still function as places where artists can work and fans can support them is crucial if Los Angeles is going to be a place that's not just profitable for developers and politicians, but worth living and creating in. Save the Coronet Theatre!
