I am a registered architect and I believe the improvements planned by BCPS destroy the character of Rodgers Forge and believe a more sensitive plan is able to be produced.

Please listen to those who know best - the community that would be adversely affected by these plans that have been conceived in private without Rodgers Forge input. Thank you

Destroying our beautiful shade trees is not a way to improve our neighborhood!

The proposed alterations to the parking and traffic patterns as part of the renovation plans to Dumbarton Middle School will have serious negative impacts to our community including loss of open space and mature trees, negative visual impacts, increased traffic and noise in what is currently a park-like setting and historic landscape, negative impacts to the health and safety of children and other residents who seek to enjoy this irreplaceable community resource and historic landscape. While we fully support the renovations to the school building itself, we urge Baltimore County Public Schools to modify the plans such that the renovations to the building can proceed without altering the parking and traffic circulation, which we believe to be both avoidable and unnecessary.

The green space around Dumbarton and Rodgers Forge is the heart of this community. We do NOT need more parking space. People can park on the streets and walk to school or sporting events on the weekends. Preserve our green space!

I am concerned about the true motive for changes to something that has served the community for generations. It is also evident that the BCPS is not concerned about pollution at a time when the citizenry is being burdened with a "rain tax".

The proposed massive retaining wall along Dumbarton and loss of trees is wholly unacceptable.
