Preserve the Certificate in Meeting Management Program

The global industry needs the CMM to remain the highest designation in the meetings/hospitality industry.

Thank you for creating this petition.

We must maintain the integrity of this designation and keep it as the highest achieveable designation. There are jsut too many designations out there, with too many of them easy to achieve.

Strongly in support of all requests raised in the petition.

I do not agree with MPIs changes in the CMM program

I do not agree with MPI's changes to the CMM Program and I strongly support all requests raised by this petition and by the request of the majority of the people who hold their CMM accreditation.

Please do not degrade this certification for monetary reasons.

The new rules depreciate the value of the certifiication and efforts we made to achieve it. Outrageous.

I worked hard to get my CMM. MPI should not be 'merging' this designation with others thereby downgrading the effectiveness and and recognition of the CMM.

CMM is quite an accomplishment in the meetings industry, please do not downgrade the credential or the efforts made by all to achieve it.

I have been approved for the next CMM session and was ill and couldn't make it to the one in Mexico. After getting approved, making payment, etc, I now find out that there is this poor affiliation and then a lowering of the standards. Please keept the same requirements. If not, I will no only NOT be attending CMM at all, but I'll be dropping my MPI and as CEO of my company I'll ensure all of our employees drop the membership we pay for them as well.

MPI, show leadership by maintaining the highest standards of the program.

These changes erode the credibility of the CMM designation - not to mention those of us who worked so very hard to attain it!

I was proud of the CMM until now...

This is so wrong of MPI. Just so wrong!

As a former Meeting Professional, with many contacts, friends and former co-workers in the industry, please keep the CMM designation from being changed. It is so highly respected because of the requirements that exist. Lowering the bar makes the designation pointless. If you want to change the guidelines, change the entire designaiton to something new.

We CMMs should have been part of this process and consulted.

As a new CMM just getting my designation this past Dec 2013. These changes and the way they were handled are very disappointing. I sincerely hope that our concerns taken into consideration and we can make a difference.

Just add a dash and digit after the CMM to reflect the different programs: Previous program graduates are called CMM, new program graduates are called CMM-II, or CMM-14 for the year it is first implemented.
