some of us did not receive the survey or the 20% would have been higher. / Rescind the travesty being done to CMMs!

Reading the results of the survey I agree 100%. Feel MPI is taking the "easy" way out! It created the program, we supported it! Now it's not as profitable as you had anticipated so you are dropping it? Such a shame.

Don't dilute my CMM by lowering the experience requirements. And to award it across the board to an entire group that didn't earn it.....come on, really?!?

The devaluing of the prestigious Global Certification in Meeting Management (CMM) is a disgrace and quite an embarrassment for MPI and the Meetings Industry. Reinstate the CMM.

Please do not make me doubt whether to put CMM behind my name, but diluting its value through the proposed changes.

So disappointed in an organization I've been affiliated with for over 30 years and that I used to support whole heartedly. Sadly, to me, it's evident this is monetarily driven.

Tim Arnold's article in Meetings Net, dated 2/20/14, said it all in spades ... You've taken this from a Gold Standard to Lowest Common Denominator. MPI should be ashamed of itself for lowering its expectations so greatly!! It's why I also resigned my membership.

I am very concerned that MPI has diminished the value of my CMM designation by watering down the requirements for qualifying for the CMM and the process for obtaining the designation. As a frequent speaker at meetings industry events, I have encouraged my colleagues to pursue the CMM designation which I worked very hard to obtain. The value of the CMM designation has been diminished by the changes made and I will no longer encourage people to pursue the designation. It is disappoining that the program is no longer being taught by knowledgeable and experienced meeting professionals.

I fully support this petition. As a member of the CMM class of 2013, I find MPIs clandestine behavior that much more appalling: my class was sold a product that didn't even exist.

It is important that the integrity of the original CMM designation program and its criteria be kept the same and at the highest regard. Many of us have worked too hard to suddenly lose the value of this designation.
