It would be a shame to see a school so deeply rich with the arts suffer. At this time in our history public schools are in danger of losing more and more , please support this gem for students of the present and more importantly the future.

I am a product of MHSA's art program of two visual art classes a day, I am a successful artist because of my education there. The creative industry is the fastest growing, and arts is one of the only schools that helps cultivate students to fulfill their passions and go down that path.

Please protect the tradition of arts at MHSA by keeping 2 hours/day for arts, and protect staff morale and school integrity by appointing a new administrator who treats all staff, students, families and the arts curriculum with respect.

Having two hours of theatre every day during high school made me the person that I am today, and gave me a great stepping stone to working in professional theatre, which I have been doing since before I graduated high school. I think it is extremely important that other students receive this type of education, and are able to experience the wonderful exposure to arts in their high school years.

I am an MHSA Alumni. By my junior year I was double majoring in Theatre and Dance and minority in vocals. YES! That was 4 + periods a day of arts classes! I went on to college graduating with a 3.9 and I owe it all to MHSA.

Though I did not attend MHSA, have a child there, or work there as a permanent staff member, I was involved as MPS staff, with supporting a student whose high school career was probably saved by two hours of daily arts instruction. Please preserve the unique mission and offering of MHSA.

Arts education is very important and the visual art students at MHSA should have the same opportunities as the other students for 2 hrs of their major.

It is a shame that the reason people choose this school is being striped. Art is such a sensory learning experience and needs to be in all schools, but especially this one!
