Please really think about this. It's a pristine and special environment that not only gives a home to many plants and animals, but is a place for humans to go and connect to nature. It is invaluable and once gone, the absence would be enormous. Its presence is crucial to so much. Don't make it just one more sad story. It's just not right to develop it. Thank you.

I do believe in affordable housing on the island; however, the Suzuki property is not the location for it.

We need to cherish our green and slow down on development. We do not want Bainbridge to become like Issaquah

The rural atmosphere of Bainbridge is what makes it special. Keep the Suzuki area open to the public and natural.

This property meant more to my childhood than I could even say. It would be a crime to develop it.

Please wake up! There may be a temporary shortage of affordable housing, but destruction of this property is permanent!

This is an almost sacred piece of property that should NEVER be developed in any way.

This is an important and fleeting opportunity to keep some green space, in town, for future islanders - people, creatures, plants, water

The Suzuki Property needs to be preserved for the following reasons: 1. It is a major contributor to the Island's Aquifer having a mix of old-growth forest, wetland, pond and a natural spring. 2. The forest on Suzuki contains trees that pre-date the arrival of Europeans on Bainbridge – and therefore is old-growth 3. The Suzuki land currently provides habitat and a wildlife corridor for mamals, birds, anphibians, reptiles, fish and birds that has no equal in this part of the island 4. Increase of population in the area will lead to erosion of the habitat 5. There are other areas near Winslow down town that should be developed first. 6. Has the city completed an ecological study and tree study of the area? This is needed to assess the environmental and arboreal value of the area.

coming from CA and seeing how every piece of land is being developed for profit, I do not want to see this happen to Bainbridge.

I support the vision that seeks to balance several key factors related to our community's quality of life. Availability of affordable housing and maintenance of green space are two such factors. In the instance of proposed development of the Suzuki property, the costs and losses outweigh the benefits, Please keep Suzuki green.

Please vote in favor of keeping this property in park status and open space. Enough subdivisions and housing developments! Thank you

This property has historical as well as natural value. It is not old-growth in a technical sense but it is old for the island (e.g. 100 yrs in parts)... and part of our heritage. There is enough high-density work going up on this end of the island. Let's not become another blotch of strip malls and ornamental saplings.
