ATTENTION BURBANK RESIDENTS! You may recall about a year ago, the Walla Walla County Commissioners held a public hearing here in Burbank to let us know they realized a loophole in the building code offered no limits as to how many homes could be built per acre in the county, and offered a plan to address the concern. To allow time to study the issue, they passed Interim Ordinance 471 limiting the construction of homes per acre to 4. It was a temporary measure set to expire August 7, 2019.

We as a community must make our thoughts and voices known to the commission. You can write or email the commissioners and the community development department at commdev@co.walla-walla.wa.us, or you can attend the meeting in person and testify. You can also sign this online petition if you are in favor of extending the ordinance, preserving the maximum 4 homes per acre rule. The petition will be delivered to the commissioners at the hearing on July 29th.
