Please join me in opposing the proposed development along the bank of Rieder Cove of 18 small lots and cookie cutter homes. The proposed development in no way reflects the character of the homes surrounding the cove or Loch Lloyd itself and will forever change the whole look and feel of the cove and the valley in a negative way. The developer has been telling anyone with concerns or reminders of promises not to develop this area that there is nothing we can do to stop this, it is a done deal. Work on the property zoned Residential Open Space started months ago prior to any public meeting or approval and I believe in part to give the impression that it was already approved. If we are not able to be heard and have an impact on this development, then all Residential Open Space is at risk of being developed and the character of what we all love about living here will be gone.

The Zoning Commission approved this based strictly on the fact that it meets the designated zoning requirements and that was their only choice. It does not mean that it fits within Loch Lloyd. The original master plan circa 1990 from Harry Lloyd as distributed by the developer does fit within the character of the surrounding homes and lot sizes, the current proposal does not in any way. The last step in this is the vote from the Village of Loch Lloyd Board of Trustee's, lets please let them know how we feel about preserving our green space and Rieder Cove by signing this petition.

There is new land that can be developed. Our preference for the Cove is green space. If not that, at the very least, redo the plan with larger lots and the requirements of the surrounding homes. This will devalue all of our homes !

Absolutely NOT. This will only further detract from attractiveness of Loch Lloyd and bring more traffic to our limited roadway. If this is SO desirable and going to be such a money maker----put it in the new NORTH LL, you certainly have enough space to properly plan for it.

We strongly oppose this development on Rieder Cove. As Loch Lloyd residents, we feel that this is not consistent with 1) the spirit and consistency of Loch Lloyd 2) would degrade the quality of the overall neighborhood 3) was not appropriately communicated to the residents as part of a master plan. Please- do whatever is possible to stop this development.

The developers are greedy and will build houses that will harm the value of our homes. Slab homes do not belong in Loch lloyd. The next project will surely be the practice field. And building lower level houses on this property will certainly devalue "old" Loch Lloyd. We don't want to be Leawood or Overland Park. We want to be beautiful Loch Lloyd and we want to keep it green. I applaud this petition!! Marla

If they take this area, what's next? What about the damage to our roads from the construction? Not to mention the ecosystem of the cove.

No Cove. Green space only. Build out old trailer park. This is what it was planned for. This property is in Cass county NOT Jackson county as some would have you believe!!!

I am opposed to any more home building additions in our community, especially on our limited green spaces.

In addition to preservation of the green space, community security was an important feature of Loch Lloyd. The continuing failure to keep the gate closed/secured into the north property is another example of failed representations.
