I am an RHS graduate. My mom and stepfather taught at the middle school until their retirement. These schools must stay in Richwood to help the community's economic recovery from the flood. Also, I believe two high schools better provide opportunities for the students.

I was a single Mother of two daughters. If not for the wonderful community school RHS my daughters would have struggled to succeed. I'm sure of this! However, because of RHS and my ability to briefly leave work in Richwood long enough to go to the school for any number of reasons and the smaller student enrollment allowing positive relationships to develop, both of my daughters received full tuition scholarships to private universities! Don't take this opportunity away from other students!

Consolidation has always had negative effects on education, on students, on the communities involved.

I do not want to see the schools consolidated. Too many kids are getting lost in the system now. Some of these kids are only getting the attention they need from the school system. Do we want to loose that by putting so many kids in one school where they loose their identity and only become a number? No!!!!

Richwood needs to keep it's own schools. Being a student of a consolidated school I can attest to the strain physically & mentally attributed to extended travel time, earlier pick up & later getting home. It takes away that home town identity & the financial & social contributions to an already struggling town, which is trying to restore & revive a beloved small town that means so much to so many. NO TO CONSOLIDATION!

Please consider the safety of the students traveling on a bus for hours. Please consider the financial impact for Richwoof and the surrounding community.

I graduated from Richwood High School and it was the best experience ever. The teachers taught me a lot and I loved being in a small school where I knew everyone.
Keep the schools in Richwood.
